Frozen food shipping keeps products at freezing temperatures all the way from the supplier to the buyer. A break in the cold chain can ruin a whole shipment, so planning and handling matter more than with any other cargo.

Products

• Frozen meat, poultry and seafood
• Frozen vegetables and ready meals
• Ice cream and frozen desserts

Rules That Protect Your Cargo

• Load the product already frozen to its required temperature
• Keep doors closed as much as possible during loading and border checks
• Use clear labels showing product, batch and expiry
• Agree a delivery time so the receiver can unload immediately

Food shipments also need proper import documents and health certificates in many countries. We advise on this before dispatch. See Temperature-Controlled Cargo.
