An open top container has no fixed roof, only a removable tarpaulin cover. This lets cargo be loaded from above by crane, which is ideal for tall or heavy items that cannot pass through the door.

Why Choose an Open Top Container

• Top loading with a crane or hoist
• Fits cargo that is taller than a standard door opening
• Cargo stays covered with the tarpaulin during transport

Typical Cargo

• Machinery and industrial equipment
• Steel and large metal items
• Bulky, tall or awkward cargo

Before You Book

Top loading needs a crane or similar lifting equipment at the loading point. Share the dimensions and weight of your cargo and tell us how you plan to load it.

For very wide or tall loads, see Flat Rack and other container types.
